Dufur.com came to us with a problem we see regularly. In the interest of getting a website up inexpensively, they had hired overseas developers to cheaply produce the website.

In fact, the overseas developers did pull together a site that met most of his requirements. But it was unbelievably slow. Most pages took over 30 seconds to load. We diagnosed the trouble immediately: Magento, coupled with lazy coding, coupled with cheap hosting, made for a disaster situation.

We migrated Dufur.com to another host for only another $10/month and instantly the performance snapped to near where it needed to be. Some additional code optimizations and the entire site was running sub-second as it should be.

Since then, we’ve done a variety of work for Dufur.com, integrating Google Maps for each of the cities featured in their road tripping features, repairing their Wordpress-integrated blog, diagnosing and repairing code issues the old development team left behind, a redesign of their homepage, and have just begun some SEO analysis and work for the Dufur site.
