Self Counsel Press already had an e-commerce site that serviced the US and Canada when they came to us. However, the UI was outdated, and the functionality of their previous shopping cart was no longer meeting their needs.

The new site should be capable of integrating content and commerce side-by-side. They had identified a Joomla template they liked, and wanted to know if we would build a seamless Joomla and Magento multi-store experience for them to showcase both their content, and their product selection.

Not only did we do so, but we also enabled several custom features for them, including integration with iContact, newsletter segmentation, product downloading, integration with Google Analytics and Google Products, and SEO optimization.

One particular challenge we had was to migrate their website without losing their impressive PageRank of 5. This meant a comprehensive migration strategy to redirect all of their inbound links and links from their old site with 301 redirects, so their business wouldn’t miss a beat. All in all, the plan went off without a hitch.
